Our Heritage

About UKHarbor Hotel

Since 1904

A Century of
Mayfair Excellence

UKHarbor Hotel was conceived by architect Sir Edmund Carrow as a private residence for the distinguished Ashworth family before opening its doors to guests in 1904. With its Edwardian red brick facade and ornate wrought-iron detailing, the building earned immediate recognition as one of London's most elegant addresses.

Through two World Wars, the Swinging Sixties and the transformation of modern London, UKHarbor has maintained its role as the city's most discreetly prestigious retreat — a home away from home for diplomats, artists, business leaders and royalty alike.

A comprehensive restoration in 2018 by interior designer Cecilia Haworth-Reeves breathed new life into the original interiors while honouring every significant architectural detail. Today, the hotel stands as a seamless marriage of Victorian craftsmanship and 21st-century comfort.

"There is something about UKHarbor that cannot be replicated — a feeling of being genuinely looked after, in a city that never stops moving."
